Overview
Titan Demolition carried out the complete soft strip and demolition works at Royal Opera House, Covent Garden, London. These works were Carried out over 2 Phases.
Works consisted of the full removal of all items to allow a refurbishment of the area. Including kitchenware, furniture, wall covering, floor finishing’s, suspended ceilings and isolated M+E services. Phase 2 also included the removal of a steel framework access staircase located on the balcony. For this we installed a TW Propping system scaffold to support the structure as we dismantled it using oxy/propane cutting equipment. Extra works consisted of Screed and Raised timber flooring removal as well as raised RC concrete plinths.
Part of these works had to be carried out in stages as during daytime hours this area was a live public access route to the Amphitheatre Restaurant. All area had to be cleaned rigorously so to be presentable to the public and keep within the high standard of the building. Waste generated for this phase was transported during designated hours to the loading bay and loaded onto wait and load trucks.
All works were completed within the programme completion date and site handed back.
